Sermon 22nd Oct, 2023.

"Come To The Table" from Psalm 34

Today we are turning our attention to Psalm 34.

Have you tasted for yourself that the Lord is good?

Do you crave Christ, the pure milk of the Word, as 1 Peter 2:1-3 exhorts us to?

This sermon opens up Psalm 34 along the lines that Peter exhorts us to taste the pure milk of the Word.

Sermon 8th Oct, 2023.

"Living the Life" from 1 Peter 2:1-3

What is the difference between your belief in God and the Devil's belief in God? In this sermon we see the difference between the believer's heart and the Devil's heart.

The live sound recording was faulty and so this recording was done later.

Sermon 10th Sept, 2023.

"One God, One Plan, One People" from 1 Peter 1:17-21

The two previous sermons in this series had issues with the recording and unfortunately they were not recorded.

Today, from the passage 17-21, Peter is revealing to us that only the blood of Jesus Christ will suffice for us on the day when we stand for judgment.

We must be justified, sanctified and live each day through the blood of Jesus. This blood of Jesus represents the very life of God, and remains are only hope in life and in death.

Sermon 23rd July, 2023. 1 Peter 1:6-9.

"From Suffering Servants to Celestial Saints"

Peter has been encouraging the five churches he is writing to. He has reminded them they are elect exiles, on a pilgrimage to a living hope.

Today, Peter is encouraging the believers to persevere in their faith in their trials.

Sermon 26th June, 2023. 1 Peter 1:3-5.

"Our Living Hope"

Peter began his letter by laying a foundation to encourage his 5 churches to persevere in their faith. In our verses today, Peter goes straight to the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the foundation of all our hope in life.

It simply isn't good enough simply to have a fence sitting attitude towards Christ's resurrection.
The fullness of our living hope in Christ goes way beyond the lost state of Adam. Adam could never have imagined the glories awaiting all the saints whom Christ has died for.

Sermon 11th June, 2023.

"The Blessing of Adoption" from 1 Peter 1:1-2.

The churches Peter is writing to are beginning to have some doubts about their faith. Peter writes to reassure them and us to persevere trusting the Lord's sovereign rule over our lives.

In these 2 verses Peter introduces the truth of our adoption as believers, the resurrection of Jesus, and our current status as elect exiles.

Peter concludes by encouraging us of the grace and peace God has given all his children.
